I always found it difficult to rest. It made me feel like I was doing ‘nothing’. I always got the feeling that I had to be busy because otherwise I wasn't worth anything. I often felt guilty because everyone around me was busy because of me. So how many times I went over my limits is impossible to say. I didn't know how this worked for me, so for years my body then switched me off at some point. Burnouts, hernias, depression, dissociation, etc.
Now I know better. Resting is definitely not ‘doing nothing’. They are necessary breaks! Resting is getting in touch with myself so that I can hear and feel again what I need to do appropriate to my soul path. After the break, I then naturally get back into the flow.
Note! Surrendering to pause and rest is a key ingredient. It can't be half! 😉
After an intensive period with lots of Year Readings and Soulwork, for now this is mainly being outside a lot in and with nature. In the vegetable garden, preparing, sowing, etc.
It's magical how the flow of inspiration automatically starts up again. This flow of inspiration needs rest and space.
Some people need a lot of rest and others much less, but from time to time we all need rest.
If you feel you are busy for the sake of being busy or because external factors cause you to be busy, it may be good to ‘rest’.
Do you find it hard to rest, to take time for yourself?
Would you like to be more or better connected to yourself?
You are welcome to explore this with me.
Much love,
Natasja 🌹
